Peer Education Programme hosted at La Aventure Secondary
Just recently, the Ministry of Education’s Health and Family Life Education (HFLE) Unit launched a Peer Education Programme at La Aventure Secondary School. The two-day workshop engaged 30 Grade 8 and 9 leadership students from the school’s HFLE Club.
This initiative sought to strengthen the club by empowering its members to lead future health and well-being initiatives across the school community.
The workshop was facilitated by a strong team, including Senior Education Officer Ms. Gaitri Singh-Henry; Education Officer Ms. Bibi Lallbachan; Mr. Delon Brathwaite (Peace Corps Health Specialist); Ms. Deonari Singh and Ms. Notoia Castello (Cyril Potter College of Education HFLE Lecturers); and Ms. Toneca Pollard, Guidance and Counselling Officer.
