The $27 million investment reflects Government’s ongoing commitment to creating safe and inclusive spaces where communities can access the resources they need to thrive. The facility is designed not only as a centre for learning but also as a hub for interaction, recreation, and community building.

Equipped with a collection of books, board games, and sporting equipment, the centre is designed to encourage both educational advancement and recreational activities. It will provide opportunities for personal development, social interaction, and the strengthening of community bonds.

As part of the commissioning exercise, Minister Parag also handed over three electronic tablets to be used at the centre. These devices will support digital learning, giving community members additional tools to build knowledge and skills.

Minister Parag emphasized that education must extend beyond the classroom. By bringing resources directly into communities, the Ministry is ensuring that every Guyanese has greater access to opportunities for growth, empowerment, and lifelong learning.

The commissioning of the Foulis Learning Centre marks another milestone in the Government’s efforts to support education and community development across Guyana.
