The Government of Guyana through the Ministry of Education have made these tablets available so that children can remain engaged and continue to learn while at home due to the pandemic.

The tablets are pre-loaded with learning materials aligned with what the pupils should be learning at this time. These resources have been approved by the Ministry of Education. Pictured above is Education Officer Ms. Shemlyn Batson - Andrews of the Department of Education - Region Four, handing over the tablets to some of the pupils.

Over the past few weeks, the Department of Education has been handing over pre-loaded tablets to nursery and primary school students residing in some of the remote and riverine communities of the region.
