President Ali Announces Vape Import Restrictions to Protect Children and Schools
PRESIDENT Dr Mohamed Irfaan Ali on Saturday evening announced that the Government will restrict the importation of all vapes and vaping products into Guyana, citing growing concerns over their use among children and teenagers, particularly within schools.

In a live address to the nation, the President disclosed that Finance Minister Dr Ashni Singh will soon sign an order under the Customs Act, Chapter 82:01, restricting the importation of these products unless approval is granted by the Minister of Health or the relevant tobacco control authorities.“We have to protect our children. We have to protect our schools. We have to protect our society,” President Ali declared.
