Quarrie Receives Presents!!

Her Excellency Arya Ali - First Lady Of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana collaborates with the Honourable Minister of Education, Priya Manickchand M.P., and Minister of Tourism, Oneidge Walrond M.P., in spreading Christmas Cheer by delivering presents to the excited children of Quarrie, a satellite village approximately 14 kilometers from Lethem at the foot of the Kanuku Mountain, marking her very first visit to the Region since she became the the First Lady of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana.

Masks were distributed to the children and two bicycles were presented to two women of the village. Her Excellency wished the residents a very Merry Christmas and assured a better life in the coming years.

$4000 cash in hand per child was also disbursed to parents for school supplies.
