Region 7 Teachers Trained in NGSA Techniques
More than 50 primary teachers in Region Seven received intensive academic support last week as the Ministry of Education, through the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD), conducted a series of training sessions in Bartica and Kamarang.
From 24 to 27 March, the sessions equipped educators with practical strategies in Mathematics, English, Social Studies, and Science. The training focused on National Grade Six Assessment (NGSA) exam questioning techniques, content requirements, elimination strategies, and the effective use of context clues.
Additionally, Grade 11 students at DC Caesar Fox Secondary School were engaged on School-Based Assessments (SBAs), benefitting from advice and tips as they approach the upcoming CSEC exams with confidence and clarity.
The initiative was led by Director Ms. Omwattie Ramdin, supported by a dedicated team including Mr. Mahendra Sharma, Ms. Jeniffer Nicholson, Ms. Lucretia Obermuller, Mr. Arth Austin, and Ms. Maranda Sobers. This outreach reflects the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to educational excellence across the region.
