STATEMENT FROM THE REGIONAL EDUCATION OFFICER, Ms. SHONDELLE HERCULES - Clarification on Misleading Social Media Post Concerning Anna Regina Secondary Dormitory

This statement is issued to address and correct information circulating on social media in a post, dated 13th January 2026, regarding the condition of the Anna Regina Secondary School Dormitory.

The images shared in the referenced post are outdated and do not accurately reflect the current condition of the dormitory. As such the post presents misleading representation that has the potential to unnecessarily alarm parents, students and the wider public.

At present, the dormitory is in a clean, safe, and suitable condition for occupancy. The conditions shown in the circulated images are not reflective of the current environment within the facility. Members of the public are encouraged to verify information through official and credible channels and to exercise responsibility when sharing content, in order to prevent the spread of inaccurate or misleading information.
