Today, Ms. Gale Layne Blue and Ms. Yolanda Trotman-Phillips, Education Officers of the Special Education Needs (SEN) Unit of NCERD handed over a token to the Honourable Minister of Education Priya Manickchand in observance of Autism Awareness Month 2021.

The token, a t-shirt, promoting awareness of autism was provided compliments of Link2Learn, an organisation in the Caribbean that provides special education needs services.

They are currently collaborating with the Ministry's SEN Unit on its "Collaborative Tuesdays" autism forum. April is designated Autism Awareness Month.
