Response to Misinformation Regarding Upgrading Works at Airy Hall Nursery School

I have taken note of an inaccurate and misleading post circulating regarding the upgrading works at Airy Hall Nursery School.

For the record, I categorically reject the misinformation being spread.

To ensure transparency and to put the facts on the record, a consultation was held on the 24th August, 2026 at the Airy Hall School with the contractor, parents, guardians, teachers and other stakeholders of the institution.

At that meeting, it was collectively agreed by all those in attendance on the following arrangements to facilitate the upgrading works while protecting the education of our children:

Continuity of Learning: There will be full continuity of the curriculum and instructional hours for all students.

Temporary Relocation: Classes will be temporarily relocated from 31st August, 2026 to 4th September, 2026 to the auditorium of the Mahaicony Technical and Vocational Training Centre, located at Park Mahaicony. This location is about 4 minutes away from the Nursery School.

Transportation: Transportation will be provided for our learners and parents/guardians for the duration of this temporary relocation period.

This People’s Progressive Party led Government, through the Regional Democratic Council Region No. 5 and the Ministry of Education, is committed to upgrading school infrastructure across the region while minimizing disruption to our children’s learning.

I urge the culpable social media users to refrain from spreading false information that seeks to cause unnecessary alarm and confusion among parents.

We will continue to keep parents and the wider community updated.

For any further clarification, please contact the Regional Education Office, the Office of the Regional Executive Officer or the Office of the Regional Chairman.

Thank you.
