Russian Ambassador to Guyana pays courtesy call on Minister of Education

Today the Russian Ambassador to Guyana H.E. Alexander Kurmaz paid a courtesy call on Minister of Education Hon Nicolette Henry. During the engagement, Ambassador Kurmaz and Minister Henry discussed opportunities that both countries can work collaboratively to address.

Additionally, the Ambassador informed that his country is keen on strengthening relations with Guyana and the courtesy call will aid in this regard.

The Russian Federation is also desirous of offering scholarships to Guyanese citizens to pursue studies in a number of areas at universities in that country. The two officials also discussed the possibilities for exchange visits and other educational programmes and initiatives.
