School Closure Advisory

The Ministry of Education wishes to advise the public that the following schools will remain closed tomorrow Friday, November 29, 2013:

Alexander Village Nursery School

South Road Nursery School

PRIMARY

St. Sidwell's Primary

St. Stephen's Primary School

St. Agnes Primary School

St Ambrose Primary

SECONDARY

David Rose

Tutorial (Annex)

Queenstown Secondary

Christ Church Secondary

St. Barnabas Special

The Bishops’ High

St. Rose's High

St. Stanislaus College

The decision by the Ministry, to have the schools listed above remain closed, was made after checks by Ministry officials revealed that as a result of the very slow pace in the recession of the flood waters, no sanitation work could have commenced in order to make the schools habitable.

All other schools in Georgetown have been cleared for reopening tomorrow by the Ministry of Education.

The Ministry sincerely regrets any inconvenience caused.
