School Support Services Observes Breast Cancer Awareness Month
With immense pride, officers of the School Support Services Department recently joined together to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to honour the life and strength of Deputy Chief Education Officer, Ms. Fazia Baksh, who recently marked the remarkable milestone of being one year cancer-free.
This moment of reflection and celebration served as a reminder of the power of faith, resilience, and early detection.
The Ministry of Education – Guyana encourages everyone, especially women, to make their health a priority through regular screening, self-examinations, and timely medical check-ups.
Early detection saves lives. Let us continue to raise awareness, support one another, and stand united in the fight against breast cancer.
