Gettting ready for September
The work continues to ensure that all schools across the length and breadth of Guyana are in a state of complete readiness for the September reopening.
Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education, is currently meeting virtually with all the Regional Executive Officers and their teams to ensure that all schools are physically inspected and that the ongoing preparations satisfy a checklist which was developed at a previous multi-stakeholder meeting with various Ministers of Government including Hon. “We must not have any complaints when schools are reopened”, Minister Parag instructed.
Also present for the meeting were Permanent Secretary, Ms Shannielle Hoosein-Outar; Chief Planning Officer, Ms Mischka White-Griffith; Deputy Chief Education Officer - Admin, Ms Tiffany Harvey and Assistant Chief Education Officer - Secondary, Mr Sherwyn Blackman.
