Wednesday afternoon marked Minister Sonia Parag’s first school visit as she continues her new journey at the helm of the Ministry of Education.

Accompanied by Dr. Kofi Dalrymple, Adviser to the Minister of Education (Tertiary Education Reform); Mrs. Mischka White-Griffith, Chief Planning Officer; Ms. Tiffany Harvey, Deputy Chief Education Officer (Admin); and other senior officials, the Minister toured the New Campbellville Secondary School. She visited every classroom, meeting with the Deputy Head Master, teachers, and students, and committed to addressing a number of issues raised during the engagement.

The visit also highlighted the ongoing construction of a new teaching block at the school, which will further enhance the learning environment for students and teachers alike.

Minister Parag emphasised her determination to visit schools across every region of the country to gain first-hand insight into the quality of education being delivered and to ensure that the needs at all levels, whether infrastructure, resources, or training, are being met.
