Secondary Students Impress CARICOM Education Ministers with Culinary Skills
Our students cooked for the Education Ministers of CARICOM and they all loved it!
When Guyana hosted the 52nd Meeting of the Council for Human and Social Development (COHSOD) last week, the Ministry of Education didn’t hire private caterers or servers; we relied on the exceptional talent of our secondary school students.
Coming from various schools across the country and guided by a group of wonderful teachers, these students were in the kitchen promptly at 5 a.m., preparing delectable snacks and a full-course meal for the ministers and their teams.
Everything served during the two-day conference received much commendation from almost every CARICOM Minister present.
Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education, and the entire Ministry of Education remain extremely proud of every single person who made up the catering team.
It was a job well done, and a reminder of the impact of our technical and vocational education and training.
