A significant milestone was marked today with the official sod-turning ceremony for the construction of a new annex at St. Joseph High School. Minister of Education, Sonia Parag joined Her Excellency First Lady Mrs. Arya Ali and Minister within the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sport Steven Jacobs as construction officially commenced on the new facility.

Funded by the World Bank, the new annex will accommodate approximately 250 students and is expected to be completed within 10 months, further expanding the school's capacity and supporting the Government's ongoing investment in safe, modern learning environments for students across Guyana.
