The U.S. Embassy was honored to join the 2025 U.S. Department of State Youth Ambassadors cohort for the launch of Project Elevate: Mind & Book Team Up at Mon Repos Primary School.
This initiative, delivered with the support of dedicated teachers, the National Literacy Unit, exchange alumni and community partners, is part of the civic engagement component of the Youth Ambassadors Program.
Project Elevate is designed to strengthen literacy, physical wellness, and mental well-being among Grade 5 students, while actively engaging parents and guardians.
Over the next four weeks, 20 students along with their parents will participate in structured Saturday workshops led by local experts from the National Literacy Unit and supported by volunteers from the Lions and Rotaract Clubs and Art of Living Guyana.
We thank the Ministry of Education - Guyana for its guidance and oversight and we commend Mon Repos Primary School for its commitment to student development and.
Kudos to the Youth Ambassadors for their vision to empower young learners and their families to build a foundation for lifelong success.
We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of Project Elevate in the Mon Repos community.
