Today, on World Autism Awareness Day, the Ministry of Education joins the global call to listen, understand, and support.

Guyana currently has close to 50 Special Education Needs (SEN) schools across the country, reflecting our ongoing commitment to inclusive education. This work continues to expand through initiatives such as the construction of the YAS School and other programmes aimed at strengthening support systems for children with autism and diverse learning needs.

Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive in an environment that understands and supports them. We remain committed to building a system that leaves no one behind.
