Yarrowkabra Primary School to benefit from Starlink internet

Students of Yarrowkabra Primary School will soon benefit from enhanced digital learning opportunities as the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) of Region Four moves to support the installation of Starlink internet connectivity at the institution.

The announcement was made by Regional Executive Officer (REO) Juan Edghill Jr during the commissioning of a new school wing at the school on Tuesday.

REO Edghill Jr said the initiative forms part of the region’s commitment to improving educational outcomes and ensuring students have access to modern learning tools.

He noted that internet access has become an essential component of education. It allows students to access information, learning resources and opportunities beyond the traditional classroom setting.

“In today’s rapidly evolving world, Internet access is no longer a luxury. It is an essential educational tool that connects our students to knowledge, innovation, and opportunities far beyond the walls of the classroom,” the REO stated.

The key to the new wing of the Yarrowkabra Primary School was handed over.

This aligns with the government’s wider efforts to integrate technology into the education sector and provide students across the country with access to digital learning resources.

The announcement came as a new block was commissioned at Yarrowkabra Primary School. The facility will accommodate approximately 200 students and will include a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) room.
