The Ministry of Education has launched a new digital system to monitor students’ progress and the performance of technical and vocational training institutions across Guyana, as part of efforts to improve the management of skills training programmes.

Guyana’s education sector continues to advance towards ensuring universal access to quality education, with the launch of a digital portal aimed at strengthening institutional management, improving efficiency and enhancing the quality of training. The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Education Management Information System (EMIS) platform is a collaboration between the Ministry of Education, the World Bank and other key stakeholders. The platform aligns with the government’s broader drive to digitise public services, streamline processes and improve decision-making through accurate, reliable data.
